ADAM WALLACE

After graduating with a B.A. Architectural Studies from Hobart College, I went on to working in residential construction. I co-owned and operated a remodeling and custom cabinet making business for eight years before deciding to go back to school to earn a B. Architecture at University of Maine Augusta to fulfill my dream of becoming a licensed architect.

I enjoy designing on many scales, from the site plan and concept down to the tiniest details. I also enjoy building scale models and photorealistic renderings. I'm excited about building science and utilizing sustainable structural materials for the future of design. Having the chance to create spaces that have the power to affect the people that occupy them is what drives me.

When I'm not busy designing, I enjoy woodworking, traveling, hiking, and anything that has to do with being on the water: sailing, kayaking, swimming, and island camping.

Early Playful Ideas | 2001:

While still in high school, I designed and built a log cabin with a few friends. Attached to the side of the cabin was a raised walkway leading to a cable bridge, which eventually led you to a 20'-0" diameter octoganal shaped platform set 55'-0" above the ground.
