A fresh breeze for a boatbuilding school:
By supporting the intention of "The Apprenticeshop", to get people safely on the ocean. This project creates connections between users and mentors both internally and externally. By organizing shared spaces that force interactions between users, which are defined by expressed exterior structures with occasional framed visual cues to the ocean.
The tiered landings along the back side are supported from above by cables attached to exposed trusses above. This visually expresses how the infrastructure will provide unconditional support, as a metaphor to the staff, and their devotion to teaching sailing skills and boatbuilding techniques.
